Primarily, the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invites candidates who chose the institution as their First Choice in the 2026 UTME to apply for the screening exercise. Candidates must act quickly, as the registration window closes in exactly two weeks.
Eligibility and Cut-Off Mark
Notably, you must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the screening:
- Minimum Score: A JAMB score of 160 and above.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 16 years of age or older by September 30, 2026.
- O’Level Upload: Indeed, you must ensure your O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration for admission.
- Choice of School: Only First Choice candidates are eligible. Consequently, if you chose UNIPORT as a second choice, you must perform a “Change of Institution” to the University of Port Harcourt immediately.

How to Apply for UNIPORT Post UTME 2026
Specifically, the application process is digital and involves the following steps:
- Visit the Website: Navigate to the official UNIPORT Portal.
- Generate Payment Slip: Input your UTME Registration Number to confirm your pre-loaded details and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
- Make Payment: Pay the non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 online via ATM card or at any commercial bank with the Remita platform.
- Confirm Payment: Log back into the portal with your UTME number and the Access Code/RRR.
- Complete Registration: Fill out the online form accurately and finally, print your registration slip for the screening exercise.
