The management of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has officially kicked off its 2026/2027 undergraduate admission exercise with the publication of the First Batch Merit Admission List.
In line with institutional guidelines and state policy, approximately 80% of candidates admitted in this initial merit batch are Lagos State indigenes who successfully underwent the Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IVEP) alongside achieving high UTME and screening aggregate scores.
Prospective students who participated in the 2026 Post-UTME screening can now check their admission status on both the official LASU portal and the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Follow these straightforward steps to confirm your provisional admission status directly on the LASU portal:
Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname in the designated login fields.
3.Check Admission Status:
Click on “Check Admission Status” to view your provisional admission offer and department assignment.
4.Accept Offer on JAMB CAPS:
Log in to efacility.jamb.gov.ng, navigate to CAPS, and click ACCEPT ADMISSION to secure the slot officially.
5.Print Admission Documents:
After accepting on CAPS, return to the LASU portal to print your Provisional Admission Letter and proceed to LACACA (LASU Central Admissions Clearance App) for online clearance.
Important Next Steps for Admitted Candidates
Acceptance Fee Payment: Admitted candidates are advised to log into the LASU payment portal to pay the mandatory non-refundable acceptance fee and medical fees within the stipulated deadline.
LACACA Clearance: Prepare clear digital scans of your original credentials (WAEC/NECO, JAMB Result Slip, Birth Certificate, and Indigeneship Verification Clearance for Lagos indigenes) for the online clearance exercise.
Non-Indigenes & Subsequent Batches: Candidates who are non-indigenes or whose names did not appear in the 1st batch should remain patient; supplementary and subsequent departmental lists will be uploaded to the portal in due course.
JAMB CAPS Warning: If your status on the LASU portal shows “Admitted” but displays “Admission in Progress” on JAMB CAPS, ensure your O’Level results are properly uploaded on CAPS at an accredited CBT center to finalize the recommendation.
