The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI), has achieved a major milestone by receiving full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for nine of its undergraduate programmes. Notably, the university recorded a 100% pass rate for all programmes that were due for review during the evaluation cycle. Consequently, this success solidifies FUHSI’s standing as a premier destination for health sciences education in Nigeria.

The NUC has granted full approval to the following nine programmes:
- MBBS
- Nursing Science
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Pharmacology
- Audiology
- Information Technology and Health Informatics (ITH)
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Microbiology
- Biochemistry
Future Accreditation Schedule
Specifically, FUHSI currently operates 13 undergraduate programmes. While nine received full approval this round, the remaining four programmes were not yet due for review. Furthermore, these four programmes are scheduled for their official NUC accreditation in September 2026. Therefore, students and parents can rest assured that the university is maintaining high academic standards across all departments.
