Course Transfer Policy & Candidate Re-allocation Guidelines
As part of the admission processing framework for the 2026/2027 entry year, UNILAG has indicated that qualified candidates who miss the cut-off marks for high-demand primary courses may be considered for transfer into these newly introduced programs.
1.Monitor UNILAG & JAMB CAPS Portal:
Regularly log into your JAMB CAPS dashboard and UNILAG candidate portal to track transfer recommendation notices.
2.Review Transfer Notification:
If recommended for a change of program (e.g., from Computer Science to Artificial Intelligence/Cybersecurity, or Mass Communication to Broadcasting/Public Relations), evaluate the proposed course option.
3.Accept Program Transfer on JAMB CAPS:
Accept the transfer offer on the JAMB CAPS portal to permit UNILAG to officially switch your primary choice of course.
4.Effect Change of Course via JAMB:
Visit an accredited CBT center to process a formal JAMB Change of Course reflecting the new program to enable admission letter printing.
Important Advisory for Aspirants: Candidates recommended for transfer must ensure their O’Level subject combinations satisfy the prerequisite requirements of the newly assigned department before accepting the switch on JAMB CAPS.
