The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially entered the most critical phase of its 2026/2027 undergraduate admission exercise. Following the release of departmental aggregate cut-off marks, the university’s admissions committee has commenced the upload of merit-based recommendations directly onto the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
For thousands of prospective students who participated in the online Post-UTME screening, this development shifts the focus from portal registration to active verification on JAMB CAPS.
Upload of Recommended Candidates: UNILAG submits the list of candidates who met or exceeded their respective departmental merit cut-off marks to JAMB for final clearance.
O’Level Verification: JAMB CAPS verifies that recommended candidates possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at a single sitting (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) uploaded to their profile.
Issuance of Admission Offers: Cleared candidates begin seeing their status change from Not Admitted to Admission In Progress (AIP) or Admitted on their JAMB CAPS dashboard.
Mandatory Steps Candidates Must Take Today
To ensure you do not miss or forfeit your merit offer, complete these critical checks immediately:
Access JAMB e-Facility: Log into efacility.jamb.gov.ng with your registered email address and password.
Switch Mobile to Desktop Site: If using a smartphone, set your browser (Google Chrome) to “Desktop Site” mode to enable all sidebar menus.
Open CAPS Dashboard: Navigate to Check Admission Status $\rightarrow$ Access My CAPS.
Check My O’Level: Confirm that your high school results display accurately on CAPS. Missing O’Level uploads will automatically block merit clearance.
Accept Admission Offer: Once your status updates to Admitted, click ACCEPT promptly to trigger the generation of your official JAMB Admission Letter.
Crucial Warning: Do NOT click “REJECT” unless you are intentionally turning down the UNILAG admission offer. Offers left pending for too long risk being withdrawn or reassigned during catchment processing.
