UNIBEN Announces Closure of 2025/2026 Admission Exercise
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the official closure of its 2025/2026 admission exercise. According to the Management, this follows the decision reached at the Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with Vice-Chancellors and other education stakeholders.
As stated, all admission processes will end on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Deadline for Acceptance of Admission
All candidates who have received admission offers into UNIBEN’s various programmes are strongly advised to accept their offers on or before Friday, October 31, 2025.
Candidates should log in to the JAMB CAPS portal and click “Accept Admission” immediately. This will help them avoid forfeiting their admission or facing late registration challenges.
Commencement of Academic Session
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, congratulated all newly admitted students. He noted that the University looks forward to welcoming them as bona fide undergraduates from Monday, November 10, 2025, when the 2025/2026 Academic Session officially begins.
Furthermore, students are encouraged to complete all clearance and registration before resumption. This will ensure a smooth start to academic and orientation activities.
