JAMB has officially blacklisted 20 CBT centers across Nigeria. This decision follows the 2026 Mock-UTME held on Saturday, March 28. Board spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin confirmed the news yesterday. The Board removed these centers for failing to meet basic standards. Most suffered from server crashes, power outages, and biometric failures. Consequently, JAMB will not use these facilities for the main exam starting April 16, 2026.
Why Did JAMB Blacklist These Centers?
Technical glitches left many candidates stranded during the mock exercise. For instance, centers in Lagos and Delta State faced massive power outages. Students waited for hours without logging in. Some facilities lacked backup generators or strong internet. JAMB described these conditions as “intolerable.” By delisting these 20 centers now, the Board protects the main exam. They want a smooth experience for all 1.9 million candidates.
What Happens to Your Main Exam Center?
Don’t panic if your mock center was delisted. JAMB will assign you to a new, working center for the main UTME. The mock exam exists to find these weak links early. It ensures technical errors don’t ruin your actual results. You must reprint your 2026 UTME slip starting next week. Your new slip will show your updated center and time.
