The management of Enugu State College of Education (Technical), ESCET, Enugu, has officially invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Straight 5-Year NCE/Degree (Dual Mandate) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Under the Dual Mandate framework, students are trained across a unified 5-year academic pathway to earn three distinct credentials upon graduation:
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE): Awarded after completing the initial three (3) years.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed): Awarded after completing an additional two (2) years.
- Practical Vocational/Skill Certificate: Awarded in a preferred trade area at no extra cost.
Key Highlights & Qualification Criteria
- JAMB Requirement: Candidates applying directly through the 5-Year Dual Mandate stream do not strictly require JAMB to obtain application forms from the college.
- O’Level Requirement: Minimum of four (4) credit passes in relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB (English Language is compulsory for Arts/Social Sciences; Mathematics is compulsory for Science-related choices).
- UTME Screening Option: For candidates applying via UTME for standard NCE (3-Year) or UNIZIK-affiliated 4-Year Degree programs:
- NCE Cut-Off Mark: 100 and above in 2026 UTME.
- Degree Cut-Off Mark: 160 and above in 2026 UTME.
Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for ESCET Admission
Candidates can purchase application forms physically at the campus or complete processing via the official student gateway:
1.Obtain Form / Access Portal:
Visit the ESCET Admissions Office (GRA, Enugu) to purchase forms for ₦4,100, or navigate to the official portal at portal.escet.edu.ng.
2.Generate Invoice / Select Programme
Select your preferred pathway (Dual Mandate NCE/Degree, Regular NCE, or Affiliated Degree) and generate your payment invoice.
3.Complete Account Verification:
Enter your active details (or UTME Registration Number if applying via Post-UTME) to verify your account profile.
4.Upload O’Level Credentials:
Fill in your personal bio-data, enter your O’Level grades (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), and upload scanned copies of your certificates.
5.Submit & Print Confirmation Slip:
Review all entries, submit your form, and print out two (2) copies of your official Admission Screening Confirmation Slip.
