Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) has officially opened its admission portal for the 2026/2027 academic session. Renowned for its law and medical programs, ABUAD maintains some of the most rigorous academic standards among private universities in Nigeria.
2026/2027 Admission Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:
- JAMB Cut-Off Mark: The general minimum score is 180. However, for competitive courses:
- Medicine (MBBS): Minimum of 200 (Realistically 250+ for competitiveness).
- Law (LL.B): Minimum of 200.
- O’Level Credits:
- Medicine & Law: Five (5) credits in relevant subjects obtained at ONE SITTING only.
- Other Programs: Five (5) credits in no more than two sittings.
- Mathematics Policy: While JAMB 2026 has waived Mathematics for some Arts courses nationally, ABUAD currently maintains Mathematics and English as core requirements for most undergraduate programs. Ensure you check the specific college requirements during registration.
Application Procedure & Fees
The application is purely digital. Candidates who did not choose ABUAD as their first choice must perform a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal.
- Application Costs:
- Application Form: ₦2,000.
- Screening Fee: ₦5,000.
- Total: ₦7,000 for UTME candidates.
- DE/Transfer Form: ₦10,500.
- How to Apply: Visit the ABUAD Admission Portal to create an account and make payment online via the automated gateway.
- Physical Option: Forms can also be purchased at designated banks (WEMA, Zenith, Union, or Fidelity) or at the University Main Campus in Ado-Ekiti.
