ABU ICT Diploma Admission Form 2026
The Iya Abubakar Institute of ICT (IAIICT) at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially opened applications for admission into its full-time Diploma Programmes and professional Short Courses for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Designed to bridge the digital skills gap, these hands-on programs prepare candidates for entry-level tech roles or direct transfer into advanced computer science tracks.

Available Diploma Programmes (2-Year Duration)

The institute offers three specialized full-time diploma tracks:

1. Diploma in Computer Science
2. Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering
3. Diploma in Cybersecurity

O’Level Entry Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and other applicable science or social science subjects.
• Credits must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

Short Professional Courses Available

For individuals seeking targeted skill advancement, the institute is offering short professional courses, including:

• Basic Digital Skills for Work and Study
• Data Analysis Skills (Microsoft Excel and SPSS)
• Web Design and Development (Front-End)

• Data Management and Statistical Data Analysis Using R

Key Dates & Class Schedule: Classes for short courses are scheduled to kick off on Monday, September 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM inside the IAIICT Building.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

Follow the appropriate instructions below based on the program you are applying for:

1.Access the ABU eForms Portal:
Diploma Application.

Navigate to the official eForms portal at forms.abu.edu.ng.

2.Generate Invoice & Purchase Form:
Fee: ₦2,500.

Select “IAIICT Diploma Programmes,” generate your REMITA retrieval reference (RRR) invoice, and pay the ₦2,500 application form fee online.

3.Fill Profile & Upload O’Level Results:
Data Upload.

Log back in to complete your personal information, enter your O’Level grades, and upload clear passport photographs and academic credentials.

4.In-Person Short Course Registration:
Short Courses.

For Short Courses, obtain the form for ₦2,000 directly at the Accountant’s Office, IAIICT Building, ABU Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.

5.Submit & Print Confirmation Slip:
Completion.

Review your submitted details, submit the digital form, and print out your registration acknowledgement slip for physical clearance.
