FUTA Post UTME Form 2026
The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is preparing its undergraduate processing servers for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. As Nigeria’s premier technological hub, FUTA maintains high standards for admissions, utilizing a dual testing system comprising the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and an institutional computer-based test (CBT).

While some universities have transitioned fully to non-examination document screenings, FUTA continues to mandate a physical on-campus screening test to strictly preserve academic merit. Therefore, prospective technology, computing, and engineering candidates must monitor the central application timelines and master the registration processes to avoid system lockouts.
Statutory Cut-Off Marks and Institutional Eligibility
Because FUTA maintains highly competitive programs across its technical branches, candidates must fully clear the core baseline parameters:
- General Minimum UTME Cut-Off Mark: Candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 JAMB examination to unlock the registration portal.
- The First-Choice Rule: The screening database accepts data exclusively from applicants who chose the Federal University of Technology, Akure as their First Choice institution. If you hit the 180 mark but selected another school, visit an accredited JAMB CBT center to process an immediate Change of Institution to FUTA.
- O’Level Application Standards: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics), obtained in no more than two (2) sittings via WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
- Direct Entry (DE) Criteria: DE candidates must hold an active 2026 JAMB DE profile alongside a recognized National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit, an NCE with appropriate credit marks, or completed IJMB/JUPEB certificates.
FUTA CBT Examination Structure
The university’s post-UTME screening is a comprehensive 30-minute Computer-Based Test consisting of 25 questions structured around the candidate’s core JAMB subject combinations:
- 7 Questions from English Language.
- 6 Questions from each of the remaining three (3) subjects.
- Pass Baseline: To secure competitive placement consideration, candidates are highly advised to target a minimum Post-UTME score of 52 out of 100 (aggregate conversion metrics apply).
Step-by-Step Portal Application Instructions
The administrative screening processing fee is pegged at the statutory, non-refundable cost of ₦2,000. Follow these instructions to initialize your profile safely:
- Access the University Subnet: Navigate directly to the official application terminal node via the institutional platform at futa.edu.ng.
- Initialize Profile Syncing: Locate the “2026/2027 Post-UTME / DE Screening” portal module and supply your valid 2026 JAMB Registration Number to automatically fetch your primary dataset.
- Generate Remita Invoicing: Generate your custom Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) billing profile for the ₦2,000 fee.
- Process Payment Remittance: Pay securely online via Remita using an active debit card or download the invoice sheet to settle the bill at any commercial bank branch.
- Populate Academic Grids: Carefully fill out your bio-information fields, key in your exact O’Level credit configurations, and upload a crisp digital passport photograph.
- Print Examination Passes: Cross-check your forms for typos, click final submit, and print out your FUTA Post-UTME Screening Slip. This document contains your assigned examination date, batching time, and venue.
