Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, has achieved a major academic milestone following the release of the LASUSTECH 2025 Accreditation Results. In a statement released by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, the university recorded a near-perfect performance, securing full accreditation for 13 of the 14 undergraduate programmes presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC). This success underscores the institution’s rapid growth and its commitment to maintaining world-class standards in science, engineering, and management education.
Breakdown of Accredited Programmes by College
The LASUSTECH 2025 Accreditation Results showcase excellence across four key colleges. The successful programmes include:
- College of Engineering & Technology: Food Science and Bio-Technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering.
- College of Environmental Design & Technology: Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, and Urban and Regional Planning.
- College of Applied Social Sciences: Insurance, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
- College of Basic Sciences: Industrial Mathematics.
Notably, Architecture also received full professional accreditation from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) during this same period.
The Impact on Current and Future Students
The release of the LASUSTECH 2025 Accreditation Results provides significant assurance to the student body and prospective applicants. Full accreditation status means that these degrees are fully recognized by professional bodies and employers, and graduates are eligible for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and postgraduate studies without hindrance. Only Electrical and Electronics Engineering was granted interim accreditation, which allows the university time to further enhance specific resources before the next review.
