The management of Sokoto State University (SSU) has officially announced the release of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening application form for admission into various undergraduate degree programs for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who chose Sokoto State University as their First Choice institution in the 2026 UTME/Direct Entry or those willing to effect a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal can now proceed to register on the university’s portal.
Eligibility Criteria & Entry Requirements
To participate in the SSU 2026/2027 screening exercise, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
- Minimum Cut-Off Mark: Candidates must have scored 140 and above in the 2026 UTME (certain competitive courses like MBBS or Law may require higher aggregate scores).
- Direct Entry Applicants: Must possess a minimum of Lower Credit at ND/HND, Merit in NCE, or a minimum of 6 points in IJMB/JUPEB in relevant subjects.
- O’Level Criteria: Possession of at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- JAMB Choice: SSU must be set as your First Choice on the JAMB portal.
Step-by-Step Online Application Guide
Follow these sequential steps to complete your screening registration on the university portal:
1.Access the Screening Portal:
Open your browser and navigate directly to the official screening gateway at ssu.edu.ng or portal.ssu.edu.ng.
2.Create Application Account Profile:
Select “2026/2027 Post-UTME/DE Screening” and enter your JAMB Registration Number to validate your bio-data.
3.Pay Processing Fee:
Generate your Remita payment invoice and pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.00 online using your debit card or at any commercial bank branch.
4.Fill Bio-Data & Upload Credentials:
Log back in to enter your O’Level grades (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), select your sitting details, and upload clear scanned copies of required documents.
5.Submit & Print Acknowledgement Slip:
Verify that all submitted details match your credentials, submit your application, and print out two (2) copies of your official Post-UTME/DE Registration Slip.
JAMB CAPS Alert: Candidates must upload their verified O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to their JAMB CAPS profile at an accredited CBT center to remain eligible for final admission processing.
