1. JAMB Registration Slip & Original JAMB Result
Your JAMB registration slip and JAMB result are among the first documents your school will request during screening and departmental clearance.
You’ll also need them for NYSC mobilization after graduation.
Tip: Make several photocopies and keep the originals in a waterproof file.
2. Admission Letter (JAMB & School)
Print out both your JAMB admission letter (from JAMB CAPS) and your school’s official admission letter.
Many schools demand both for final clearance and student file creation.
Losing any of them can delay your registration process or block your course allocation.
3. O’Level Result (WAEC or NECO)
Your O’Level certificate (WAEC/NECO) is another must-have document.
If the original certificate isn’t ready, use a verified printout for now — but ensure your names and date of birth match your JAMB profile details.
Remember, this document will also be required for your NYSC registration later on.
4. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
This document confirms your date of birth and is needed for school screening, scholarship applications, and NYSC.

5. Local Government Identification or Certificate of Origin
Your Certificate of Origin shows your state and LGA.
It’s a compulsory requirement during screening, and it’s also used when applying for state bursaries or NYSC.
6. Passport Photographs
Always carry extra passport photos with you.
You’ll need them for your student ID card, library registration, hostel application, and file submissions.
It’s wise to print at least 20 copies at the start of your session.
7. Payment Receipts & Acceptance Fee Printouts
Every payment you make to your school — including acceptance fees, tuition, and departmental levies — must be backed up with receipts and printouts.
If there’s ever a dispute, these documents will be your proof of payment.
