The management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially announced its 41st Convocation Ceremonies, with a total of 12,523 graduands scheduled to receive First Degrees, Post-Graduate Diplomas, Master’s Degrees, Doctorate Degrees (Ph.D.), and Diplomas.
The multi-day academic event will take place at the university’s Main Campus in Ilorin, Kwara State, featuring a convocation lecture, project commissioning, award presentations, and alumni activities.

Day III: Friday, 23rd October 2026
- Convocation Lecture: “From Lecture Hall to Cabinet Room: The Journey from Academia to Public Leadership” delivered by Hon. Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie.
- Conferment of Higher Degrees (Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, Ph.D., and Professional Doctorates).
- Commissioning of new infrastructural projects by the Visitor and presentation of Staff Merit Awards.
Mandatory Instructions and Payment Guidelines for Graduands
- Convocation Charges: Undergraduate and Master’s graduands are required to pay a total mandatory fee of ₦20,000 covering the certificate and student transcript copy via the official UNILORIN portal (
unilorin.edu.ng). - Academic Gown Collection: Order of Proceedings and academic gowns will be available for collection starting Monday, 19th October 2026, at respective faculty offices upon presentation of payment proof.
- Gown Return Deadline: Hired academic gowns must be returned to Faculty Officers on or before Monday, 26th October 2026. Late returns attract a daily fine of ₦5,000.
