The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has officially begun uploading the provisional list of admitted candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session onto the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Candidates who participated in the UNIZIK Post-UTME online screening exercise can now monitor their admission status directly through their JAMB profile. Admissions are being uploaded in batches, so candidates whose status currently reads “Admission in Progress” or “Not Admitted” are advised to keep checking regularly.
Understanding Your JAMB CAPS Admission Status
When you log into your profile, your admission portal will reflect one of the following official statuses:
| CAPS Status Display | What It Means | Next Action Required |
| Admitted | You have been offered provisional admission by UNIZIK. | Click “Accept Admission” to claim your slot. |
| Admission in Progress (AIP) | UNIZIK has recommended you; JAMB is finalization-checking. | Check back within 24–48 hours for full approval. |
| Transfer Consideration | Recommended for a different course from your initial choice. | Click “Accept Transfer” to allow the program change. |
| Not Admitted | Your profile is still undergoing processing in subsequent batches. | Continue checking CAPS regularly as uploads proceed. |
Step-by-Step Guide to Check & Accept UNIZIK Admission on JAMB CAPS
Follow this sequential workflow to verify your status and accept your provisional offer:
1.Access the JAMB e-Facility Gateway:
Open your browser (preferably Chrome or Edge) and visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
2.Log In with Credentials:
Enter your registered JAMB Email Address and Password to access your candidate dashboard.
3.Enable Desktop Mode & Access CAPS:
Switch your browser to “Desktop Site Mode”, then click on “Check Admission Status” and select “Access my CAPS”.
4.Check Admission Status Tab:
Click on “Admission Status” on the left-hand navigation panel to view your UNIZIK offer details.
5.Accept Offer & Print Documents:
Click on “ACCEPT ADMISSION” to confirm your acceptance, then proceed to print out your official JAMB Admission Letter.
Crucial Warning: Do NOT click “REJECT ADMISSION” unless you are completely rejecting the offer from UNIZIK. Once rejected, the slot is permanently forfeited and cannot be reversed! Additionally, candidates with pending O’Level uploads must visit a CBT center immediately to upload their grades to CAPS.

Important Advisory for Candidates: If your status displays “HELD” or “WITHHELD,” avoid paying money to fraudulent individuals or unauthorized websites claiming they can “up-grade” or “unblock” withheld results. WAEC results can only be released through official NEC approval.
