Consequently, candidates who chose FUTO as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME or Direct Entry (DE) cycles must prepare to upload their data parameters.

While many institutions use a single generic baseline score, this premier technology university enforces a strict tiered cut-off structure depending on the competitiveness of your chosen course.   • School of Physical Sciences (SOPS): Science Laboratory Technology (SLT).

3. Programs Requiring a Minimum Score of 150

  • All programs under the School of Agriculture (SAAT) (e.g., Animal Science, Crop Science).
  • Foundational sciences like Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology, and Statistics.
  • Environmental tracks including Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, and Urban & Regional Planning.
  • Specialized management courses under the School of Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT).

Direct Entry (DE) and O’Level Core Rules

Furthermore, candidates applying via Direct Entry must hold valid qualifications such as an OND, HND, First Degree, or Advanced Level (A’Level) certificates in relevant fields. On the other hand, general baseline conditions apply to both UTME and DE paths under strict evaluation:

  • O’Level Sittings: A minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings via WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. However, the MBBS program strictly requires these credits in a single sitting.
  • Age Minimum: Candidates must be at least 16 years of age by the institutional cutoff date to secure final validation clearance.
  • JAMB CAPS Sync: Finally, you must upload your verified O’Level grades to your central JAMB CAPS profile, as the university database pulls grades directly from the national server.
