The management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has issued an important announcement to candidates admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement from the Admissions Office, signed by Emaniru Steeforth Ovie, PAR (Admissions), for the Deputy Registrar (Admissions), the university is aware of the challenges faced by some newly admitted students.
Affected Candidates
The issue particularly affects:
- Candidates admitted via the UTME 2nd and 3rd batch lists, and
- Candidates admitted through the Direct Entry 1st and 2nd batch lists.
These candidates have successfully received admission offers on the JAMB CAPS portal, but their admission details are yet to reflect on the official DELSU student portal.
University’s Response
The Admissions Office assures all affected students that the issue is being addressed promptly.
Technical and administrative teams are currently working to ensure that all valid admissions are fully synchronized between the JAMB and DELSU portals.
Candidates are therefore urged to remain patient while the process is completed.

- Check your admission status regularly via the DELSU portal: www.delsu.edu.ng.
- Do not panic if your name has not yet appeared — it will be updated once the synchronization is complete.
- Retain all your admission documents, including your JAMB Admission Letter and acceptance slip, for verification when the update is done.
