Lagos State University (LASU) has officially released its updated and approved LASU Academic Calendar 2025/2026. The announcement was made following the executive approval granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on behalf of the University Senate.
According to the update, the LASU Academic Calendar 2025/2026 provides detailed information on registration, lecture periods, examinations, breaks, and Senate meetings for both new and returning students.
The approval was based on the recommendation of the Committee of Provost, Deans, and Directors (COPDD) during its meeting held on Thursday, 11th September 2025.
LASU Academic Calendar 2025/2026 – First Semester
- Monday, 15th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025: Registration for new students (3 weeks).
- Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025: Resumption, registration, and commencement of lectures for both new and returning students (11 weeks).
- Monday, 22nd December 2025 – Friday, 2nd January 2026: End-of-year break (2 weeks).
- Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026: Revision and late registration (₦5,000 penalty) (1 week).
- Monday, 12th January – Friday, 6th February 2026: Examinations (4 weeks).
- Monday, 9th February – Friday, 20th February 2026: Grading/uploading of results (2 weeks).
- Monday, 23rd February – Friday, 27th February 2026: Departmental and Faculty consideration, ICT processing, and Senate approval of results (1 week).
New students will spend a total of 24 weeks, while returning students will spend 21 weeks in the first semester.
LASU Academic Calendar 2025/2026 – Second Semester
- Monday, 2nd March – Friday, 22nd May 2026: Resumption, registration, and lectures (12 weeks).
- Monday, 25th May – Friday, 19th June 2026: Examinations (4 weeks).
- Monday, 22nd June – Friday, 3rd July 2026: Grading/uploading of results (2 weeks).
- Monday, 6th July – Friday, 10th July 2026: Departmental and Faculty processing of corrections (1 week).
- Monday, 13th July – Friday, 17th July 2026: Collation of results to Senate and Senate Meeting (1 week).
- Monday, 20th July 2026: End-of-session break begins.
The Second Semester shall last for a total of 20 weeks.
