DAVID OYEDEPO FOUNDATION (DOF) scholarship programme awards full scholarships to qualified individuals who are indigenes and residents of African countries. The scholarship seeks to develop youth leaders who are ready to put their learned skills to work in leading organizations, communities and their local countries.
The scholarship grants students the opportunity to study at select courses at
Covenant and Landmark University, Nigeria. Completed applications must be submitted no later than June 27th, 2025.

Overview of the DOF Scholarship
- Sponsor: David Oyedepo Foundation, established by Bishop David Oyedepo
- Purpose: To empower young African leaders by providing full scholarships, enabling recipients to study and develop skills that contribute to their communities and countries
- Institutions: Covenant University (Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria) and Landmark University (Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria)
- Application deadline: June 27, 2025, 11:59 pm GMT+1
Benefits of the Scholarship
- Fully funded – Covers tuition for up to 5 years (standard duration of the program)
- Also covers academic fees, though recipients must cover accommodation (sometimes), meals, travel, medicals, and other personal expenses
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of an African country, including Nigeria
- Be 16–25 years old at application time
- Be eligible for a Nigerian student visa
- Be proficient in English
- Have outstanding secondary school records:
- Non-Nigerians: At least 80% average or 4.0/5.0 GPA
- Nigerians: Additionally, at least 50 points above JAMB cut-off (typically ≥ 250)
- Have applied for admission to Covenant or Landmark University

You’ll need:
- Completed online application
- Secondary school transcript and WAEC results
- Passport photo and birth certificate
- National ID or proof of citizenship
- Admission application or letter from Covenant or Landmark University
- Two letters of recommendation:
- One academic
- One religious or community-based
- Four 500-word essays on:
- Why you need the scholarship
- Why you chose your course
- Your leadership experience
- Your vision and love for your country
Selection Process
- Initial screening: Must meet all eligibility criteria
- Shortlisted candidates are invited to an online video interview
- Provide original documents if selected for final review
- Final selection is based on academic merit, financial need, leadership potential, and interview performance
