Introduction

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. All candidates who made UNIPORT their First Choice in the 2025 UTME and scored 150 or above are invited to apply.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for the UNIPORT Post-UTME Screening:

• You must have selected UNIPORT as your First Choice institution during UTME registration.
• You must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME.
• You must be at least 16 years of age by September 2025.
• Candidates awaiting O’Level results may apply but must indicate this status during registration.
• If UNIPORT was not your First Choice, you must change it on the JAMB portal before applying.

Important Dates

• Registration Starts: Friday, 11th July, 2025
• Registration Ends: Friday, 18th July, 2025
• Payment Confirmation Starts: Monday, 14th July, 2025
• Screening Schedule: To be announced on the university website

Late registration will not be accepted. The portal closes by midnight on 18th July, 2025.

Step-by-Step Registration Procedure

1. Visit the University website
   Go to www.uniport.edu.ng. https://utmedetails.uniport.edu.ng/welcome_utme.php
2. Input UTME Details
   • Enter your UTME Registration Number
   • Confirm your preloaded details
3. Generate Payment Code
   • Create a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
   • Pay ₦2,000 using MasterCard, Visa, Verve or
   • Print the slip and pay at any of the listed banks:
     • ACCESS BANK PLC
     • ECOBANK PLC
     • FIDELITY BANK PLC
     • FIRST BANK PLC
     • FCMB
     • UBA PLC
     • UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK
4. Confirm Payment and Complete Registration
   • Use the Access Code from the Remita receipt to log back in.
   • Fill out the online registration form.
   • If awaiting O’Level, indicate accordingly.
   • Click “Submit” and print your Registration Slip.

Important Guidelines

• Do not use someone else’s phone number or email address.
• Ensure all names and pictures are consistent across all documents.
• Do not bring phones or gadgets to the screening venue.
• O’Level results must be uploaded to the JAMB portal promptly.
• Candidates are not required to visit the university during registration – it is strictly online.
• Check the university website regularly for updates on the screening schedule.

Disqualification Criteria

Candidates will be disqualified for:

• Failing to complete registration within the stipulated period.
• Inconsistent names or photos on the Registration Slip and other documents.
• Not uploading O’Level results to the JAMB portal.
• Not showing up for the screening as scheduled.
• Coming to the venue with unauthorized materials or gadgets.
