The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced a scheduled temporary downtime on its E-Facility platform to allow for a major system upgrade aimed at improving service delivery.
Downtime Schedule
- Start Date: Friday, 29th August, 2025
- End Date: Midnight, Sunday, 31st August, 2025
- Duration: 3 days
During this period, candidates, CBT centres, and other stakeholders will not be able to access or carry out any transactions on the E-Facility portal.
Services Affected
The following services will be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade:
- Checking UTME/DE admission status
- Printing of admission letters
- Profile creation and update
- CAPS (Central Admission Processing System) functions
- Any other transactions requiring access to the E-Facility portal
Why the Upgrade?
According to JAMB, the upgrade is necessary to:
- Improve the efficiency and reliability of the platform
- Enhance security and safeguard candidate data
- Provide faster and more user-friendly access to services after the upgrade
Advice to Candidates and Stakeholders
- Candidates are advised to complete all urgent transactions before Friday, 29th August, 2025.
- CBT centres and institutions should also take note of this downtime when planning their admission or verification activities.
- Services will resume fully by Monday, 1st September, 2025.
