About IJMB

• IJMB is an acronym of Interim Joint Matriculation Board, It is an Approved, Proven & Certified Advanced level programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University and having coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different study centers nationwide. The entry qualification into IJMB is purely Ordinary Level result (O’level), also candidates awaiting result can also apply.
• IJMB allows successful students to get admissions into 200 level of almost all Nigerian universities and candidates can study any course of their choice including but not limited to Medicine, Law, Accounting, Business Administration, Mass comm. Linguistics ETC.
• IJMB is Approved: By the Federal Government as a platform for securing admission into higher institution in Nigerian Universities.
• IJMB is Guaranteed: Yearly, about 20,000 applicants put in for the programme in which more than 70% successfully secure admission with it into 200 level to their preferred institution & course.
• IJMB is Certified: By Nigeria University Commission (NUC) as an Advanced level examination that qualify students into 200 level via Direct Entry.
• IJMB PROGRAMME DURATION: The programme runs for a maximum period of one academic session (9 to 10-month) divided in two(2) semesters. Academic activities in all our IJMB center begins every March and ends January. The examination is conducted every February and we use Professional Lecturers that are IJMB inclined.

1. Gaining university admission via IJMB totally eliminates the use of JAMB and unlike JAMB, IJMB result does not expire because it is a certificate.

IJMB is cheaper and also gives you access to other Universities and you can still use the certificate the next year unlike Pre-degree & Foundation Programs which only gives you admission into that same university you took the course and if you don’t make it that year the fees is gone, you have to pay again.
3. Once you buy your IJMB Registration Form, you can start your 9 months of lectures (just like 100 Level) in our study center provided with accommodation.

With over 5 years consistent experience,our centre specializes in advance training for potential University admission seekers. We tutor and prepare candidates for JUPEB, IJMB, A’LEVELS, NABTEB and CAMBRIDGE.
• We offer intensive tutorial to candidates who enrolled with us for any of the programs listed above, prepare them for the examination, register them for the examinations and monitor their admission into their choice University.
• This service is a routine practice every year and several candidates have gained admission into Nigeria Universities especially through JUPEB and IJMB. We offer our services from the day candidate enrolled to the day he/she gets admitted into his/her desired University.

IJMB results are virtually acceptable to major universities in Nigeria. But to give you confidence, we have listed below about Nigerian universities accepting IJMB result into 200 level

Northern Universities accepting IJMB

University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria
* Accepts (5-9) points for any science, paramedical, administrative course * requires minimum of 13pts in IJMB for Medicine
* 8 points and above for Engineering courses, A/level Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry for Industrial Chemistry
* 7 points and above for Social Sciences/Administrative Courses
* 5 points and above for Religious Studies, Languages, and most of the Courses in Arts Faculty and Agriculture

Kano, Kano State, Nigeria
* Requires a minimum of 4pts into Faculties of Education, Agriculture, Arts (Languages)
* 6pts into Faculties of Accounting, Engineering, and Medicine
* 6pts minimum for Physiotherapy

Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria (Ahmadu Bello University)
* Accepts 10pts and above for Medicine/Law Engineering/Economics
* Accepts 5pts for all other courses * requires 8pts with A’ Level Government, Economics and B/Management
(University Of Abuja) Gwagwalada, FCT, Nigeria
* requires 10pts or above for direct entry into 200 level only, any point below this is 100 level to any wishful course.
* Accepts 10pts for 200L Accounting
* requires 10-16 point in Economics
(Niger State University)Minna, Niger State, Nigeria
* requires minimum of 10pts for any Engineering course
* requires 5pts and above for other and Non-analytical Paramedical courses
* Requires 8pts and above for Food Science and Technology
(University Of Jos) Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
* 8pts and above is required for any course in college of Medicine, Law, Political Science, Engineering, Nursing, Sciences, Medical Lab, etc
* 5pts is required for all other course in their various faculties including school of Agriculture
* 5pts and above for all other courses in various faculties

South-East Universities Accepting IJMB

* Requires a minimum of 4pts into Faculties of Education, Agriculture, Arts (Languages)
* 6pts into Faculties of Accounting, Engineering, and Medicine
* 6pts minimum for Physiotherapy

South West Universities Accepting IJMB
(Ladoke Akintola University)Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria
* Accepts IJMB into 100 Level only
* Requires 12pts and above for all courses except Medicine, Law and other competitive courses
* university of Ibadan does not accept IJMB as direct entry
* UME is required for IBADAN ONLY
(Ekiti state University)Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria
* Do not accept IJMB as full time except for Part-time only
(Federal University of Agriculture)Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria
* Accepts IJMB result with automatic admission into 200 level with a minimum of 4pts and above for all courses in any faculty offered

* Benin does not accept IJMB into Structural Engineering
Calabar, Cross-River State, Nigeria
* Calabar accepts IJMB as Direct Entry
* Calabar does not accept IJMB for Medicine, Economics, Engineering and Law.

Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, Nigeria
* Offers Industrial Art and Anthropology with 8pts and above
Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria
* Accepts IJMB (check you UME / DE Brochure for further enquires)
Okada, Edo State, Nigeria
* Requires considerable points for her College of Medicine and other Analytical Science courses
* 5pts points and above into 200 Level in Social Science, Arts, Administrative, and Agricultural courses
* 3-4 pts can be considered for some minor courses in the school

Those are just the major universities that accept IJMB result in Nigeria as of today, but take note, all northern Universities and all Private Universities across Nigerian states accept IJMB whether mention here or not.

Candidates should also know that they will still write post UTME after IJMB at the University they want to study their chosen courses.
