]]> The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has officially approved an extension for the online registration of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. This adjustment provides a critical grace period for candidates who encountered delays in matching their O’Level combinations or syncing their credentials with the national database.

FUTA utilizes a strict institutional evaluation model that integrates your core UTME parameters with your foundational high school grades. Consequently, this extension serves as the final window for engineering, technology, and science aspirants to lock in their profiles before the university’s automated allocation script begins running candidate rankings.

Statutory Eligibility and Faculty Cut-Off Benchmarks

To ensure your applicant workspace successfully clears the initial database sweeps, your performance metrics must align with the following institutional baselines:

  • General UTME Cut-Off Baseline: Open strictly to candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 180 and above (though individual competitive departments like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Medicine carry significantly higher internal benchmarks).
  • The First Choice Mandate: The registration portal exclusively accepts applicants who chose FUTA as their First-Choice institution. If you selected an alternative university, you must process a Change of Institution via the central JAMB portal during this extension window.
  • O’Level Foundational Layout: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant science subject blocks (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

Step-by-Step Portal Application Instructions

The administrative workflow routes all account profiling and processing fee clearance through the university’s central banking gateway. Follow these precise steps to submit your form:

  1. Access the FUTA Screening Node: Open your web browser and go straight to the official registration gateway at myportal.futa.edu.ng/putme or navigate through the main hub at futa.edu.ng.
  2. Initialize Candidate Workspace: Click on the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Application panel. Enter your valid 2026 JAMB Registration Number to automatically verify your identity profile.
  3. Generate Remita Invoicing Layout: Generate your personalized payment invoice profile. Settle the mandatory screening processing fee of ₦2,000.00 flat rate securely online using your debit card via the integrated Remita engine or at any commercial bank branch.
  4. Populate Academic Grids: Log back into your active applicant workspace using your transaction reference code. Carefully log your precise O’Level grades, select your subject combinations, and verify certificate numbers.
  5. Final Submit and Print: Review all data fields to eliminate entry typos, hit the final submit switch, and print out your official FUTA Post-UTME Screening Slip containing your profile overview.

Critical CAPS Warning: Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are fully uploaded and active on their personal JAMB CAPS profiles. Because FUTA’s internal admission tracking scripts cross-verify academic data directly against the national database, any blank profile on JAMB CAPS will face automatic exclusion during final merit calculations.
