]]> The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced the date for the UNIBEN Postgraduate Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session. This event marks the formal induction of all newly admitted postgraduate students (Stream 1) into the institution.

Event Schedule

The UNIBEN Postgraduate Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony will take place as follows:

  • Date: Friday, April 10, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 AM Prompt
  • Venue: Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus, Benin City.

University officials expect all students and invited guests to arrive and take their seats by 8:30 AM to ensure a smooth start.

Mandatory Orientation Programme

The UNIBEN Postgraduate Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony serves two purposes. First, the orientation provides fresh students with vital information regarding research guidelines, library resources, and university regulations. Following the orientation, students will participate in the formal matriculation oath-taking.

Academic Gown Collection

To participate in the UNIBEN Postgraduate Orientation and Matriculation Ceremony, students must wear the official academic regalia. You can collect your gowns from the College of Postgraduate Studies. Please ensure you present your proof of payment and clearance documents before the deadline on Thursday afternoon.
